L didn't like her arms swaddled...she would scream when we would try. For us, Aden and Anais (AA) blankets worked the best because they are light-weight, breathable, stretchy, come in a variety of styles, and swaddling the arms is optional.
AA is a little more expensive than other blankets; however, if I consider my cost per use, it is by far the cheapest. They have many uses besides a swaddle blanket...stroller covers, burp clothes, nursing shields, tummy time, portable crib sheets, etc...
**Helpful hint - At first, these blanket were a little big for L...We folded the edges of the blanket to make it smaller before swaddling her.
**Special find – I’m gonna sneak another product in here that I was thrilled to find when summer rolled around! AA makes a sleep sack too...
I have yet to see them in a store, but found them on my favorite site, Diapers.com and Amazon. When L started getting strong enough to kick out of her swaddle, we used this and it worked great. My other mommy friends got so excited when I told them about this product!

Sleep sacks are AWESOME!! CMH slept in her's all summer long last year. Perfect. I wasn't worried about her getting too cold or too hot.
