Baby Book Contest

I am so excited to announce the photo contest prize that I mentioned earlier this week!!!  

So, I decided to make a Baby Book Video instead of having a standard baby book.  

The winner of the Halloween photo contest (as voted by "likes" on facebook) will win a video of their very own (up to 100 photos) made by me!   Here is the one I made for "L".  BIG TEASER:  The video reveals L's name for the first time :) (Please ignore my awkward hair toss at the beginning...not sure what that is about) My apolgies, but the blogger video upload does not show the best quality.

One Week Countdown

It is officially one week until Halloween!!!  I wanted to remind you to take pictures of your baby's/kid's costumes or any maternity costumes.  Get cute and get creative!  There is going to be a prize worth a $100...details to be announced later this week!

Pint-Sized Giveaway

I have been waiting to announce this giveaway for a few weeks now!  Between facebook, blogs, and other social media, I have reconnected with so many old friends.  It has been so fun!  One friend, in particular, Lauren, contacted me to do a giveaway for Keeping it Simple.  I had no idea she had started a children's clothing line, Pint-Sized Clothing and Design.  As described on Facebook, "Pint-Sized is an online boutique offering items at affordable prices.  Everything is made by hand, just for you!"

I ordered L an owl onesie (applique pictured below) and was beyond excited when it came in the mail last week!  Not only was it adorable, but it was also great quality.  The only bad news is I intentionally ordered it a little big, so I have to wait for L to grow into it.  I guess I can contain myself for a few more weeks!!!  I will definitely share the pics with her wearing it when I have them.

Take a look at Lauren's fabulous designs below.  Her dresses are super cute!  I love the dress with ties on the shoulders because you can adjust the ties as your little one grows!

Her dresses run from $38-$50 depending on the size and monogram, and her onesies run from $15-$22.  Her turn around time is around 1-3 weeks.

GIVEAWAY: Barefoot Designs

Affordable custom-made baby clothes...I know this sounds too good to be true, but it isn't!

I have had Barefoot Designs in my head as a pending post for a while now.  Amy has such a great eye for fabric and the cutest designs!  She lets you pick the fabric, applique, monogramming, size, and design all for a price range of around $20-$45.  All of her options for outfits are posted on her facebook page and her blog. 

You must plan ahead though.  She has become so popular there is a 2-3 week wait before your outfit is shipped.  I congratulate her on her growing business!  She has just hired two seamstresses and embroiderer and is in the process of creating a website.  Both of these things should help with a quicker turn around time in the future.  She has started carrying other brands including Monag, J. Lisandra, and Mint and hopes to start a new Barefoot Designs custom bedding as well.

On top of the cute clothes, Amy is simply the sweetest!  She said, "I always pray for each sweet little one that I'm working on something for and send a hand written note telling the parents this and a bible verse. I feel like this is not just a business, but a calling to pray for God's little ones!"

I have a great UT Longhorns game-day outfit coming for L and will definitely post pictures of it when I get it.  My friend uses her all the time and the outfits are such great quality!  A few examples of her work below (yes, she does little boy clothes too, but I am partial to the girl stuff):
